I. Introduction

The experimental area includes 49 laboratories with emergency exhaust systems, which undergo annual testing to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.

II. Operation and Maintenance Introduction

  1. Pressing any EV button in the laboratories and public corridors will immediately trigger the EV emergency exhaust system.
  2. After the EV system is activated, all buzzers in the same AHU air conditioning area will sound an alarm.
  3. When the EV system is activated indoors, the amber light outside the door of the affected room (the door closest to the room where the EV button was triggered) will flash, while the amber lights on other room doors will remain off. When the EV system is activated in the public corridor, all amber lights in the same area will flash.
  4. All fume hood windows in the laboratory will automatically open to their maximum, and valves will be 100% open.
  5. The normally closed electric valve of the fresh air bypass pipe of the air conditioning equipment in the corresponding affected room will open, operating at 100% fresh air volume. The return air valve will automatically close, and exhaust air to the roof via the bypass exhaust fan.
  6. All valves of the VAV (Variable Air Volume) air conditioning terminal devices in the rooms within the same AHU air conditioning area will be fully opened to their maximum.
  7. The roof emergency exhaust fan of the corresponding affected room will activate in conjunction with the system.
  8. After the EV button is restored, the system will be restored to normal operation.
  9. After the EV system is triggered, the BA immediately sends an alarm SMS to relevant personnel and displays the alarm information on the BA platform.
